Types of Marine Survey
Among the range of Marine Surveys we offer are:
Pre-Purchase Surveys
Strongly advised when purchasing a new or used vessel, a Pre-Purchase
Survey covers the condition and overall operation of the vessel,
including fuel system, navigation equipment, propulsion system,
as well as dry dock condition and sea trial.
General Condition Surveys
Performed to give a general overview of a vessel’s overall condition,
identifying clearly evident defects and including an equipment inventory.
Insurance Surveys
Performed to determine whether or not the vessel is an
acceptable risk (particularly with older vessels) and to determine
its fair market value.
Appraisal Inspections
Performed to gather information to determine or justify
the fair market value of the vessel (for estate settlements, financing,
legal cases...)
Damage Inspections
Performed to assess possible cause, extent of damage and
to estimate repair cost.
Any of the above surveys can be tailored to suit your particular
needs.
